Montana

More Montana scenery.....

Above and Right:  McDonald Creek as seen from John's Lake Trail.

Going to the Sun Mountain.

East Glacier Lodge, the first lodge in Glacier National Park, was built in 1913.

The Lodge was constructed of uniform sized logs supporting the two story vaulted ceiling.

The view from the lodge is magnificent.

Two Medicine Lake is located on the southeast side of Glacier Park.  Sinopah Mountain and Pumpelly Pillar frame the lake in this picture.

We had just seen a bear while driving into the Two Medicine Lake area.  And bears are still on our mind as we hike the Appistoki Falls Trail.   Judy forges ahead, unaware that a hiker has passed me on the trail and is closing in on her.  Do you get the picture?

Yep, you guessed it.  Judy's scream as the hiker passed on her left made sure we didn't see any more bears on this trail!!

Running Eagle Falls, a trick falls near Two Medicine Lake.

The river has eroded a tunnel through rock, leaving the impression that the falls originate from inside the mountain.
