San Diego

 Seattle

Oregon Coastline along US Highway 101.

I finally got Roe to stop at another Dairy Queen!

A large herd of elk graze late in the day along SR 38 outside of Reedsport, Oregon.

As we left the Elk behind, Roe suggested that we take it easy going across Oregon State Road 38 through the mountains.  The road was reported to be twisty with lots of deer and elk.  Roe blasted off and I didn't catch up with him for about five miles!   Hey Roe, what happened to the "Let's take it easy" talk?   It was a great ride until dark settled in.

We met some interesting and helpful people along the way.  This lady at the Day's Inn in Eugene had driven the Alaska Highway and was a wealth of information.

Saturday, July 23rd.  We're leaving Seattle this morning for Alaska.  Approximately 2,500 miles.
Excited?
You Bet!!
