Somewhere along the way Pat crossed paths with the North Carolina Highway Patrol.  Actually it was at Wendy's in Robbinsville, NC.  The troopers got a kick out of telling the girls how dangerous Deal's Gap was and how many people they had scraped off the side of the road.  This was BEFORE we rode Deal's Gap and found out for ourselves!!
