Day 5:

Durango - San Juan Skyway - Silverton -
Telluride - Rico - Ridgway
(Continued)

On the way to Silverton we passed the Durango & Silverton steam-engine train.  The train was filled with tourists who waved as we rode by.

Woody and Judy join a group of "local" bikers for a photo.

The Silverton restrooms have an "OPEN" sign in front.  With the antique fixtures outside it's easy to get the restroom confused with one of the sidewalk shops........ as one lady found out as she casually walked into the men's room to browse.

Young entrepreneurs selling rocks on a Silverton Street.  One of our prized acquisitions form the trip is a rock purchased for a quarter by the Senator's wife and given to us as a souvenir of Silverton.

Pat and Judy pose for the camera with a beautiful background setting.

The little town of Ouray is nestled in a valley between two mountains.

Woody and Judy share a moment at the Ouray overlook.

The route from Ouray to Ridgway skirted colorful mountains of reds and yellows punctuated with green spruce trees.
