Girlie Ride 2002
We ate breakfast overlooking the mountains at the Pisgah Inn restaurant, then waited while the temperature gradually climbed over the freezing mark before heading north up the Blue Ridge Parkway toward Blowing Rock.
The morning sun and the gentle curves of the parkway made for great riding. After an hour or so we stopped to admire the mountains in their spring greenery.

Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil, See No Evil...
Yeah, RIGHT!
Almost everywhere we stop when riding the Harleys someone comes up and starts talking about motorcycles. They either have a Harley, had a Harley, want a Harley, know someone who has a Harley, or just want to talk about Harleys.... or they're just being friendly.
Motorcycle riders are a great fraternity. Riders wave on the highway and have an instant kinship with fellow riders for striking up parking lot conversations. Here, motorcycles line the Hanging Gardens Visitor Center parking lot.
