Chattanooga, Tennessee
Leaving Cullman and heading for Boone, NC, we stopped off in Chattanooga
for a couple of days to visit Lookout Mountain and Rock City. Woody remembered seeing the old barns painted red with black roofs advertising "See Rock City". At the peak of the barn painting advertising campaign there were over 900 red and black "See Rock City" barns across the Southeast. |

The Chattanooga KOA Campground had a large scale model of the famous "Chattanooga Choo Choo" on its playground. | |
Chattanooga's Incline Railway runs two miles up the side of Lookout Mountain. Near the top, the angle of incline approaches 80 degrees. Quite a ride!! |

While in Chattanooga, we celebrated our wedding anniversary at a the city's favorite restaurant, The Loft. Reservations were arranged by the staff of the Chattanooga KOA. We had a perfect table and impeccable service by the server staff supervisor. The food provided ample reason why the restaurant has perennially been voted Chattanooga's favorite. |
