The farther north we rode on the Blue Ridge Parkway the colder it became.  By the time we arrived at Blowing Rock our fingers and toes were frozen.  We kept reminding ourselves that this was May and it couldn't be this cold!  At the end of the day we were tired and very cold.  The Chetola Lodge was a beautiful and welcome sight!
