East Glacier Lodge, the first lodge in Glacier National Park, was built in 1913.
|
The Lodge was constructed of uniform sized logs supporting the two story
vaulted ceiling.
|
The view from the lodge is magnificent.

Two Medicine Lake is located on the southeast side of Glacier
Park. Sinopah Mountain and Pumpelly Pillar frame the lake in this
picture.

|
We had just seen a bear while driving into the Two Medicine Lake
area. And bears are still on our mind as we hike the Appistoki
Falls Trail. Judy forges ahead, unaware that a hiker has passed me
on the trail and is closing in on her. Do you get the picture?
|
Yep, you guessed it. Judy's scream as the hiker passed on her left
made sure we didn't see any more bears on this trail!!

Running Eagle Falls, a trick falls near Two Medicine Lake.
|
The river has eroded a tunnel through rock, leaving the impression that
the falls originate from inside the mountain.
