 Halloween is a popular holiday in this area. Even the municipal offices of Erwin, TN, were decorated. We even saw a graveyard by a church with a jack-o-lantern on one of the tombstones! |
 This was the view when we left Johnson City, TN. Cold, damp, and foggy. Later the sun came out and warmed things up, turning the sky a brilliant blue in the process. |
 From Johnson City to near Asheville, raingear and warm clothes were required dress. |
