mechanic.

Route 166 between I-5 Santa Maria is typical of the beautiful but
desolate country in which we were traveling when Roe's brakes fell
apart.

Sunset on Route 166. Nothing but two lane road through a beautiful
canyon which we could only glimpse after dark. The temperature
dropped quickly after sunset and two cold riders pulled into Arroyo
Grande for the night.
