Guy Ride 2000

Wednesday - Continued

Boone - Banner Elk - Cranberry - Asheville - Canton - Brevard

Banner Elk rest stop.  Almost everywhere we stopped someone came up and wanted to talk about Harleys.  They either had one, wanted one, or had one or more when they were younger.  Or just wanted to tell us they liked our bikes.

Brent listens intently to a stranger's Harley story.

Pat's sense of humor remained intact throughout the trip.

Tim manages a smile for the camera.

Cranberry, North Carolina.  Flick Video.  Next door to country store.  There isn't much else in this town, but the store and Flick Video do a booming business.

Pat and Ricky satisfied their craving for a bologna sandwich.  They bought a can of Vienna sausage and sat on the store porch to eat and watch the world go by.  The Vienna sausage really hit the spot!!

Blue Ridge Parkway rest stop.  The Parkway is beautiful at this time of year.  During the week there is almost no traffic.  The speed limit is 45 mph, but the Parkway is much more fun to ride at 60.

Pat takes advantage of the warm sun and soft grass during the Blue Ridge Parkway rest stop.

.....as does Rooster.

Woody obviously enjoyed the trip.

During the Blue Ridge rest stop, the lady in the car at right pulled up and sat in a folding chair watching us.  Actually I think she was bird watching, but the bikers proved much more interesting.
