2005 Western Trip

Four Corners is one of those places you've always heard about.  A visit here is anticlimactic as there is little to see except a geodetic marker, a part of the National Spatial Reference System (NSRS).  Oh, and an Indian charging $2 per person entry fee.  The four corners is the only place in the United States where four states intersect at one point.  It is located on the Navajo Indian Reservation at least 30 miles from the nearest services, a casino.

It's one of those "Been There and Done That" places.
You have to go and have your picture taken in four states at once.

Every year there is a reenactment of important events in Indian history.  Here, Carl does an interpretive dance portraying Montezuma's Revenge striking near Montezuma Creek.  Above:  Leaving the bike and running to the grocery store.
